Enterprise Odisha program in Rourkela
To boost investment and build a strong industrial setup in Odisha, a positive discussion was held today with industrialists and partners at the Enterprise Odisha program in Rourkela.
During the event, 23 new industrial projects worth ₹35,880 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid. These projects are expected to create more than 11,844 new jobs in the state, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The Chief Minister said that encouraging new ideas and ensuring industrial growth in all parts of the state is the government’s main focus. He added that continuous efforts are being made to develop Odisha as a major industrial hub of the country.
At the Silver Jubilee celebration of Enterprise Odisha 2026, 20 more industrial projects worth ₹8,800 crore were launched. These projects will provide job opportunities to around 6,832 youths.
In addition, 22 MoUs were signed and 5 major investment proposals were received. These are expected to bring investments of about ₹52,026 crore and create around 20,427 jobs in Odisha.
The Chief Minister said the government is committed to supporting big industries, MSMEs, and local entrepreneurs to make Odisha a key growth engine of a developed India. He also said Odisha is moving fast towards self-reliance and aims to become a strong and prosperous state by 2036.
