The Rajya Sabha election schedule has been announced. Four seats from Odisha will go to polls. The official notice will come on February 26.

The election dates were announced by the Election Commission of India. In Odisha, elections will be held for four Rajya Sabha seats.
Nomination filing will start on March 5.Last date to file nomination is March 6.Scrutiny of papers will be done on March 9.If required, voting will be held on March 16.
The term of four MPs will end on April 2. They are:
Muzibulla Khan,
Niranjan Bishi,
Mamta Mohanta and
Sujit Kumar.
Based on MLA numbers, Bharatiya Janata Party may win two seats and Biju Janata Dal may win one seat. The fourth seat is uncertain.
After the announcement, political activity has increased.
Elections will also be held in other states : Maharashtra (6), Tamil Nadu (6), Bihar (5), West Bengal (5), Assam (3), Telangana (2), Chhattisgarh (2), Haryana (2), and Himachal Pradesh (1).
