Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal Loses Son to Cardiac Arrest in US.
Agnivesh Agarwal death has left the Vedanta Group and the business world in deep shock. Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal’s son Agnivesh Agarwal, aged 49, passed away following a cardiac arrest in the United States.
Sharing his grief on X, Anil Agarwal described the loss as the darkest day of his life. He wrote that no words can express the pain of a parent who has to say goodbye to his child. “A son is not meant to leave before his father. This loss has shattered us in ways we are still trying to comprehend,” he said.
Agnivesh Agarwal was the eldest child of Anil Agarwal and Kiran Agarwal. He was born in Patna on June 3, 1976. He received his early education at the prestigious Mayo College in Ajmer and later moved to the United States for higher studies.
According to Anil Agarwal, Agnivesh played a key role in setting up Fujairah Gold and later became the chairman of Hindustan Zinc. He also served as a board member of Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), one of the largest private thermal power plants in Punjab.
Following the news of Agnivesh Agarwal death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences, offering support to the Agarwal family during this difficult time.
