Bhubaneswar Mayor appeals to citizens through a press conference to strengthen the city’s waste management system.
With the aim of securing a top rank in Swachh Survekshan 2025–26, Bhubaneswar has intensified its preparations. As part of this effort, the Honorable Mayor of Bhubaneswar has urged city residents to regularly pay the User Fee to support better waste management services.
The appeal was made during a press conference organized to create public awareness. Addressing the media, the Mayor said that keeping Bhubaneswar clean is not only the responsibility of the civic administration but also depends on active participation from citizens.

The Mayor explained that the User Fee is crucial for smooth door-to-door waste collection, proper segregation of wet and dry waste, and scientific disposal of garbage. These measures help maintain a clean and healthy environment across the city.
He further added that if residents follow cleanliness guidelines and pay the User Fee on time, Bhubaneswar has a strong chance of achieving a top position in Swachh Survekshan 2025–26.
