94,485 vacant posts reported in multiple Odisha government departments as of February 12,2026

94,485 vacant posts are lying unfilled in different departments of the Odisha government as of February 12. The information was shared by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi in response to a query.According to the official reply, a total of 94,485 posts are vacant across various state government departments. The data is updated till February 12. The School and Mass Education Department has the highest number of vacant posts. A total of 20,289 posts are vacant in this department.
The Home Department has 16,032 vacant posts. The Health Department has 10,457 vacant posts. These figures were also confirmed in the official response.Other departments also have vacant positions. The total number of vacancies across all departments stands at 94,485 as of February 12.
The data shows a large number of unfilled posts in key departments. School education, home affairs, and health services are among the most affected sectors.
