
“Subhadra Yojana” is a women-centric welfare program initiated by the Government of the State of Odisha with the intention of women empowerment by way of direct economic support for women belonging to the age group from 21 years to 60 years.
The program was launched by the Prime Minister of Our India Narendra Modi, and the intention was to reach more than 1 crore women in the State of Odisha.
Benefits:
SUBHADRA Card: Every beneficiary gets a SUBHADRA Card, which is an ATM-cum-debit card that adds to their empowerment
Finances: The following amounts will be given to the eligible beneficiaries for a period of five years (2024-25 to 2028-29): The total amount is ₹50,000.
Digital Transaction Incentives: Top 100 women from each Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body with maximum numbers of digital transactions completed within a year are awarded an additional ₹500.
Eligibility:
The applicant has to be a resident of Odisha.
The candidate must be benefitting from the National Food Security Act (NFSA)/State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
Applicant without an NFSA or SFSS Card can apply under SUBHADRA, provided her Family Income does not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
The age of the applicant between 21 and 60 years as on the Qualifying Date.
Those candidates who are getting financial assistance in the form of pension, scholarship, etc. of ₹1,500/- per month or more / ₹18,000/- per annum or more in any State/Central Govt. scheme would be ineligible.
The applicant cannot be a former Member of Parliament (MP) or a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
The applicant should not be an a Income Tax Payeer.
The applicant should not be an elected public representative in any Urban Local Body or a Panchayati Raj Institution,(excluding Ward Member / Councillor)
The applicant should not be Employed as a regular/contractual employee in State Government / Government of India / Public Sector Undertaking /Board or Local Body / Government Organization or is receiving pension after retirement. However, all employees getting the honorarium of ASHA, Anganwadi Worker, Community Resource Person, Master Bookkeeper, and others, as well as all those working on the basis of Outsourcing Agencies, will be considered under this Scheme.
The applicant should not be An owner of a 4-wheeler Motor Vehicle except tractors, mini-trucks, small commercial vehicles and other similar light goods vehicles.
(In 2024-25, if the women have completed the age of 21 years after 01.07.2024, they would be getting Rs.10,000 annually, for the remaining years of the scheme period only. In 2024-25, if the women have completed 60 years of age after 01.07.2024, they would not be getting the benefits for the remaining years of the scheme period.)
Application Process(Offline):
1: Interested candidates must fetch the application form either from the concerned Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Urban Local Body Offices, Mo Seba Kendras, Common Service Centres, etc.
2: In the application form, Write the details in all necessary fields, paste your passport photograph if required with your signature on it, and attach copies of the necessary documents.
3: Apply by submitting the application form filled by the candidate along with the documents to the- Mo Seba Kendra/ common service center.
4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, a unique identification number (if applicable).
