India U19 beat Afghanistan U19 by 7 wickets in Semi Final

what a show by our Players, India Under-19 just powered their way into the final of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026. On February 4, they smashed Afghanistan by 7 wickets in the second semi-final at Harare. Now, it’s India vs England in the big final on February 6 at Harare Sports Club.
This marks India’s sixth straight final in the U19 World Cup – that’s some serious dominance, They already have 5 titles and are hungry for number 6. Back home in Odisha, fans are super excited. Many young cricketers from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and beyond look up to these moments and dream big.
Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. They put up a solid 310/4 in their 50 overs. Faisal Shinozada smashed 110 and Uzairullah Niazai stayed not out on 101 – great fight from them, But India? They made the chase look easy. They reached 311/3 in just 41.1 overs – one of the biggest successful chases in U19 World Cup knockout games.
Aaron George played a cool-headed century (115 runs) to hold everything together.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi fired a quick fifty to get the chase off to a flyer.
Captain Ayush Mhatre added his own fifty and even hit a massive six.
This win shows India’s batting strength and cool nerves when it matters most. In the first semi-final, England edged out defending champs Australia by 27 runs. Thomas Rew scored a hundred (110) to help set 277/7. Australia fought back but fell short at 250, even with Olly Peake’s ton.

The 2026 U19 World Cup is co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia. It kicked off on January 15 and wraps up on February 6. 16 teams battled it out. India owned their group and Super Six: Stayed unbeaten right through.
