VFS Global to Open Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar

A visa application centre by VFS Global will open in Bhubaneswar on 1 April 2026. The facility is meant for people of Odisha who need visa services.
Earlier, applicants had to travel to Kolkata to complete visa procedures. The new centre will provide easier and faster processing.
Officials said the centre will save both time and travel cost for applicants. It will also improve international travel access and connectivity for the region.

The facility is expected to create local employment opportunities. It aims to provide convenient and efficient visa support services.
The announcement was made with support from External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and VFS Global Group CEO Zubin Karkaria. The initiative follows the ease-of-living approach promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Residents of Odisha can soon apply for visas locally instead of traveling outside the state.
